I backed Dungeon Roll on Kickstarter

by admin on March 11, 2013

I guess I could have titled this post, “I just can’t help myself when it comes to cool games”.

Dungeon Roll – A Dicey Dungeon Delve is the sixth project I have funded on Kickstarter. Of the six projects I backed, four of them have been games.

Anyway, Dungeon Roll looks like a great pick up game and for just $15 you can get a copy when it ships (tentatively) in August of this year. I own quite a few TMG games already and they are superior in artwork, game play, and all of the game materials and bits and pieces.

My biggest problem is finding the time to play all of these games :).

From the Kickstarter page –

Dungeon Roll is a light and quick press-your-luck dice game with many important and interesting decisions.

In Dungeon Roll, you will:

Be a Hero with special and unique abilities.
Roll your party made of clerics, fighters, mages, thieves, champions, and scrolls.
Destroy the monsters, drink potions, collect treasures, and slay dragons found in the dungeon.

Dungeon Roll has:

More choice and strategy than a typical push your luck dice game, without losing all of the satisfying highs of a great dice game.
Outstanding art and visuals.
Custom molded plastic dice in 2 types, dungeon dice and party dice.
An incredible box to loot treasures from.

So anyway, here is a video explaining the essence of Dungeon Roll:

And here is a video showing gameplay using prototype game pieces:

By the way – they are currently sitting at just under $120,000 raised (they had hoped for $15,000) and have accumulated a bunch of cool stretch goals.
