Something I learned:
I really need more space in my wood shop. It seems like every time I want to switch projects I spend half my time moving things around and setting up my woodworking tools again.

The easiest thing for me to do is to get organized and build a new workbench that makes better use of the room that I have. I love woodworking projects, but I tend to get easily deterred by the lack of space. Hopefully my new workbench and some better organization will lead to the completion of more projects that I’ve had on my ‘to do’ list for a while.

Besides, I just got a new tool for Christmas that I’ll need plenty of room to build projects with :).

Something I laughed at:
Christmas Eve night my son was putting out Oreos and milk for Santa. He likes to make Santa a “special” recipe of extra chocolatey milk. His sister wandered into the kitchen and was questioning him on all that he was doing.

She wanted to know why he was putting out the cookies and milk and he said that it was his “secret recipe for staying on the nice list.” And now we know how he does it :).

Just Random:
I saw a sign at a gas station on the way home the other day that simply said, ‘Happy Holiday.’ Not ‘Happy Holidays‘ just HoliDAY. I chuckled to myself at the genius of the person who put up the sign.

They can leave it up all year long as there is always one holiday or another that they can wish you a ‘happy’ for. New Year’s Day is coming and before you know it there will be President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and many others. Hopefully their sign will stay up to welcome every Holiday :).
