Random Thoughts Oct. 9 Edition

Things I have learned this week:

Shopping at Meijer Friday mornings before 9am means you practically have the store to yourself and the grouchy old people aren’t out of bed yet.
The Nobel Peace Prize is a joke. Seriously, Obama was President for 2 whole weeks before nominations were due. If he did some incredible peace work in those 2 weeks in order to be nominated – I missed it.
When you have a long list of outdoor projects to do before snow flies – it will rain all week.

If you give a man a fish, he’ll eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you’ll never see him on the weekends again.

Money in My Pocket:

I’m not telling tales out of school or exaggerating, but once again, I made about $60 this month from my lenses (Squidoo calls web pages lenses) at Squidoo. What is Squidoo? It’s an easy way to create a web page about a favorite subject (movie, book, tools, appliances, how to – whatever you can imagine) and include links for people to buy products. You get a percentage of sales and ad revenue from your page(s).
