Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs was one of my absolute FAVORITE books as a kid. I can remember checking this out over and over again from the elementary school library. The illustrations alone were well worth the read, but the incredible premise of a town whose food came from the sky was the real kicker. I imagined myself living in such a place and how fun it would be to have every meal fall from the sky.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

Recently, I heard that they are releasing a computer animated film based on the book and from the trailer (you can watch it below) it appears to be a nice interpretation of the book. I mean, I know they can’t possibly stretch the simple storyline into 90 minutes so of course it will not be what I read as a child and now read to my kids. It looks fun though, and really what more can you ask for to go along with the beautiful animation.
