New LEGO book is a visual cornucopia of LEGO past and present

The LEGO Book

The LEGO Book is THE LEGO book each and every fan of LEGO will want. I already have The Ultimate LEGO Book which was a fine book on it’s own and the lesser known The World of LEGO Toys. Both are decent books, but the latest from DK Publishing appears to more than surpass them in terms of content and visual presentation.

The LEGO Book is apparently two books in a slipcase, The LEGO Book and Standing Small (book covering the history of the LEGO Minifig). You’ll be treated to pages upon pages of photographs of LEGO models past and present. The LEGO Book is just under 200 pages and Standing Small is 96 pages of LEGO-goodness.

From the publisher:

Fascinating facts on every significant LEGO® product line, theme park, video game, artwork, competition, club, collectible and more combine with images from the LEGO Group’s photo archives-many seen here for the first time-and inspiring ideas on how to make a variety of things from just a few bricks.

May the force be with LEGO

For those die-hard LEGO Star Wars fans there’s a new book for you, too! LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary covers all of the LEGO Star Wars models and minifigs and gives “little-known facts and hundreds of photos.”
