Amazon Prime still a good deal at $99 a year

by admin on March 13, 2014

Amazon Prime is going up $20 to $99 per year. The new rate will take affect on your renewal date.

The rate increase begins one week from today so if you want to get in at the $79 rate, you need to sign up now.

I had initially resisted signing up for Amazon Prime when it first came out back in 2005. But a free three month trial sucked me in for life. This was before they added the free streaming videos and Kindle Owner’s Lending Library book selections, mind you.

Amazon has consistently added value to having a Prime membership and this marks the first time the price has increased. I can deal, I use it too much and get too much value from it to cancel.
