Michael Jackson Thriller Video in LEGO

RIP Michael Jackson. I’m thinking of the better days in the wake of the news.

When Thriller
hit the radio I was so enamored with the song that I just HAD to have the single. Back in those days the single was a 45 RPM record. You know those black vinyl disks with grooves in them?

Back then, the local grocery store (no Wal-Mart or Meijer around here back then) sold 45s and I was so excited when I saw it there and even more so when I was able to buy it. I remember how cool the cardboard sleeve of the record looked with the Thriller logo splashed across a purple background. That was the first record I ever bought. The B Side was “Can’t Get outta The Rain” which I only listened to once as I didn’t care for it.
